Colorado : Administration

Colorado is ranked 8th among the 50 states of United States. Colorado encompasses most of the Southern Rocky mountains as well as the northeastern region of the Colorado Plateau and the western edge of the Great Plains. Colorado is 38th state admitted to the union of United States. Colorado’s state constitution consists of three government branches: the legislative, the executive and the judiciary branch. The executive branch is headed by the Governor. The Supreme Court of Colorado is the highest court in the state. The state legislative body consists of Colorado General Assembly which consists of two parts the House of Representatives with 65-members and the35-members as Senators. The House is controlled by the Republican Party by voting majority and the Senators is controlled by the Democratic Party.

Department of Natural Resources: The Department of Natural Resources preserves and protects the natural heritage of the state of Colorado. Some of the key interests of the department include mining and reclamation, oil and gas, state parks, water conservation and wildlife preservation.

Department of Public health and Environment: The Department of Public Health and Environment is responsible for protection and preservation of health of the people in the best of their interests and also the environment of the state.

Department of Transportation: The Colorado Department of Transportation constructs and maintains highways, roads and mass transit systems for the safe and faster movement of people and goods.
